The majority of anxiety chest pain cases are actually muscular or nerve pain or a form of indigestion. These sensations are the direct result of the body’s anxious response when it enters the fight-or-flight response.

When our bodies enter into fight-or-flight, our blood stream is flooded with adrenaline. Also as a result of the fight-or-flight response, our stomach may try to empty itself to make us lighter or more agile, resulting in indigestion. Other times, blood flow may be diverted from the digestive process to the arms and legs. Both of these circumstances can cause anxiety chest pain.
Of course, it is always a good idea to check with your doctor to make certain that your pain is a result of anxiety and not a symptom of some other condition.
Once you are sure that the pain is caused by anxiety, you can alleviate it by reducing your overall anxiety levels. If you constantly worry about your chest pain, then you will only create more anxiety. This is definitely not what you want to do.
Focus your energy on relaxing your body. Personally, I have found meditation to be a very effective way of relaxing the body. Even something as simple as taking 5 minutes a day can have a huge impact on your.
Just close your eyes and turn your attention inward toward your body. Focus on how your body feels and notice any tense or tight areas where you are holding on to anxiety. Take a few deep breaths and try to relax and let go of that tension.
This simple exercise will help you become more in tune with your body and you will learn to recognize and release anxiety much more easily. You’ll not only get rid of your anxiety chest pain, but also feel calmer and more peaceful in general.
