We all feel the anxiety in our everyday life. It can be as simple as being nervous to a presentation, having the butterflies in your stomach when you’re giving out a speech or having your knees weak when you are about to board a plane. It all depends on the person and the type of anxiety he feels.
It is normal though to feel those anxieties and it’s actually a good thing to feel them too. They are our natural response when there’s danger and it can warn if we are threatened. It can also help us stay focused, stay alert and can help us solve our problems. There are many physical symptoms of anxiety that can be bad for us because it can affect our relations and our normal daily lives.

Pounding Heart – you feel like your heart is going to explode out of your chest. This may be mistaken for a heart attack.
Sweating – it can be excessive sweating even if the temperature is cold. This can be an embarrassing moment for anyone when they are drenched in sweat.
Stomach Upset – most people call it feeling the butterflies in the stomach. Your stomach feels hurt because it produces more acid when you are anxious.
Frequent Urination or Diarrhea – it’s also our bodies response when you feel you are in danger and that is to release toxins out of the body.
Shortness of Breath – because our body is in a flight or fight response, it needs to have more oxygen in the body. This is why shortness of breath is one of the physical symptoms of anxiety.
Tremor and Twitches – you’ll feel some twitching sensation whenever you feel anxious. Our body is getting ready for a fight or flight situation.
Muscle Tension – because our body is getting ready for a fight or flight situation, our body stiffens.
Headaches – some people often feel this and can cause them to concentrate less on what they’re doing.
Fatigue – when your body feels anxious, you feel like fainting because our body used up all the oxygen in our body. You’ll feel weak and have less energy.
Insomnia – most people have trouble sleeping when they are anxious because they would think about it even before they go to sleep.
These are the common physical symptoms of anxiety. You often feel you have lost control over your body when you are having an anxiety attack but there ways to deal and control with anxiety. Just remember though that these are symptoms to make us ready for a fight or flight situation. Anxiety is not a disease because you can control it yourself.
